The Week of Slovenian Literature in Vienna (4-10 November 2019)

Yesterday’s grand opening of the Exhibition of Slovenian Illustration in the main Viennese library Hauptbücherei am Gürtel and the concert by Slovenian author and storyteller Anja Štefan marked the start of the Week of Slovenian Literature in Vienna. The week will bring altogether ten events with seven Slovenian authors and a Slovenian stand at the Vienna Book Fair Buch Wien (6-10 November). You can meet us in hall 6, at stand B08.

The events revolve around recently published German translations of Slovenian authors: Mojca Kumerdej: Chronos erntet, 2019, translated by Erwin Köstler (Wallstein Verlag), Aleš Šteger: Logbuch der Gegenwart – Aufbrechen, 2019, translated by Matthias Göritz (Haymon Verlag), Drago Jančar: Wenn die Liebe ruht, 2019, translated by Daniela Kocmut (Zsolnay Verlag) and Mirt Komel: Goldman oder Der Klang der Welt, 2019, translated by Sebastian Walcher (Hollitzer Verlag).
