Since 2009 the Slovenian Book Agency has actively participated in Traduki, the European network for literature and books, which consists of Albania, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Germany, Kosovo, Liechtenstein, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, and Switzerland.
Traduki carries out a support programme for translations of literature, the humanities and children's and young adult literature from the 20th and 21st centuries, and provides different forms of exchange to participants. The network was founded on the initiative of the Federal Ministry for Europe, Integration and Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Austria, the German Federal Foreign Office, the Swiss Arts Council Pro Helvetia, KulturKontakt Austria, the Goethe-Institut and the S. Fischer Foundation. After Slovenia became the first partner in the region, the following institutions joined the network: the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Croatia in October 2011, the Department of Culture of the Government of the Principality of Liechtenstein and the Cultural Foundation of Liechtenstein in November 2012, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Albania in January 2014 and the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Serbia in November 2014, the Ministry of Culture of Romania in April 2015.
The Slovenian Book Agency cooperates with the network in organising various international events, book fair presentations, trainings, and in organising residency centres. Author, translator, librarian, critic and scientist meetings are intended to enhance the exchange of information at the European and interregional levels and to foster closer cooperation.
