Accessibility statement

The Slovenian Book Agency is committed to making its website accessible in accordance with national legislation transposing Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council.

This accessibility statement applies to the jakrs.si website.

In order to ensure accessibility requirements, some system adjustments have been provided, such as:

  • Responsive design (adapting the layout of content to the screen resolution),
  • display of content for users of assistive technologies (for example: screen readers, braille),
  • keyboard navigation (adaptation for users who cannot use a mouse),
  • adjusting fonts and colour contrasts (between text and background),
  • predictable website performance,
  • the possibility to accompany images with alternative text,
  • the possibility to use different levels of headings.

Compliance level

This website is partially compliant with the Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Apps Act due to the exceptions listed below.

Inaccessible content

The accessibility of jakrs.si is constantly monitored and individual accessibility elements are continuously improved. However, some of the content published does not meet all accessibility requirements as set out in the Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications Act due to disproportionate burden.

Examples of such content include:

  • scanned documents in PDF format,
  • videos,
  • some promotional messages,
  • various complex data tables,
  • some fields in filters in some collections

In addition to our own content, we also publish content produced by other institutions. The reasons for their unavailability or restricted availability are published on the web pages of the institutions where the content is originally published.

Preparation of an accessibility statement

This statement was prepared on 12 March 2024 on the basis of a self-assessment.

Feedback and contact information
