This year’s translation seminar for translators from Slovenian, organised by the Slovenian Book Agency, will take place between 17 and 21 August in Ljubljana and Maribor. The seminar offers translation workshops with expert mentors, lectures on contemporary Slovenian literature, andopportunities to connect and network with Slovenian authors, critics, publishers, and other experts in the field of books and translation.

The books selected for the 2026 seminar are:
Andrej E. Skubic: Lahko bi umrl na tem kavču z mano (Mladinska knjiga, 2024)
Ana Svetel: Steklene stene (Beletrina, 2024)
Simona Hamer: Cimra (Cankarjeva založba, 2025)

Applicants should submit the application form, together with a motivation letter and their CV, at the latest by 4 May 2025 via email to iztok.ilc@jakrs.si. Selected applicants will be notified within 10 days of the application deadline.
