The 24th European Conference on Literacy will take place in Ljubljana, Slovenia, from 6 to 8 July 2026. The conference Literacy. The Door to a Better World. is jointly organized by the Slovenian Reading Badge Society (Društvo Bralna značka Slovenije – ZPMS) and the Federation of European Literacy Associations (FELA), with the support of national and local partners.

The conference will offer unique opportunities for sharing and deepening practical, professional, and scientific insights, as well as for networking among participants from Slovenia, Europe, and beyond, working in various fields related to reading and literacy.

Educators, librarians, academics, authors, researchers, special education professionals, and anyone else working in the field of literacy are invited to contribute presentations of good practices, as well as professional and scientific papers in the form of lectures, symposia, workshops, or posters related to reading literacy and reading culture.

The call for submission of abstracts is open until 1 December 2025.
