In line with the feminist and activist slogan “the personal is political”, the author decided to write her personal history of entering lesbian activism. The text was created as an intimate testimony upon the 25th anniversary of the lesbian section Škuc-LL, which the author co-founded. It is primarily a step-by-step “pre-history” of the author’s lesbian engagement: her first encounters with lesbian pulp fiction, the images of homosexuality in local folklore, contacts with foreign pen friends, her arrival in Ljubljana in the 1980s, the beginning of the gay movement in 1984 and her participation at the international lesbian conference in Switzerland in 1986.
