This book deals with the history of Marxism, which it understands as a special form of knowledge production. It argues that Marxism is a specific formation accessible only through a concrete analysis of historical circumstances. The author limits the circumstances primarily to the Slovenian space and the period between 1941 and 1945, but he also goes beyond this framework because space is never isolated from its surroundings and one period is never separated from another. The author develops the problematic of Marxism through his analysis of Yugoslav society in the time of its greatest crisis. Extensive emphasis is placed on the role of the social doctrines, philosophies, theories, ideologies, etc. with which the actors of past periods thought about and changed the world and their environment.
