Miha Mazzini
Miha Mazzini was born in 1961. He works as a writer, director, columnist, screenwriter, director and lecturer. He completed his postgraduate studies in writing at the University of Sheffield in The United Kingdom and obtained his PhD in Anthropology of Everyday Life at the Institutum Studiorum Humanitatis in Ljubljana. Mazzini has written more than 30 literary books, which have been published in 11 languages. He has received numerous awards for his work, including the prestigious Kresnik Prize for the 2016 novel Otroštvo (Childhood). His short stories are part of the international anthology (Best European Fiction, Bristol Short Story Prize Anthology). He won the Pushcart Prize in 2012 for a short story for his collection of short stories Duhovi (Ghosts). He also won awards in the film field as a director and screenwriter. He also participates in interactive and multimedia projects.
